Hi..I just ordered a pair of #3170 boots from Shepplers on recommendation from a coworker. My coworker said to make sure I ordered 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size, but the Shepplers salesperson said just order the size I normally wear (8D). It doesn't ship until 26 Aug so I have a little time to seek your advice. Please help. Thanks, Brian

Are the 3170 Ropers the only boot with a fiberglass shank you make? I am an airline pilot, and am looking for an 'airport friendly' boot. I like your 3172 (smooth ostrich), the 3133 (kipskin), or the 3187 (bull hide) - but I can't tell from your web site if they are fiberglass shank or steel shank.
